INSURANCE
Insurance is required by law for this building project and is estimated to cost $31,000.
Retention of architectural firm will be necessary due to probable architectural changes as required during governmental inspections. It is estimated that an additional USD $19,000 will be necessary.
New Latvian building requirements dictate the hiring of a general building contractor company as opposed to having a single individual.  This is because of the contractor negligence in the Maxima tragedy that occurred a few years ago.
Talsi Christian School is a handicap accessible building and due to the limited land available, a multi story building requires an elevator at an estimated cost of $25,000.
Project Bid is $2,120,000. The new construction will require furnishing estimated at $250,000 for computers, projectors, student and teacher desks and chairs, new science labs, large meeting/conference room chairs/tables, artwork, etc.
FINAL BID AND EQUIPMENT
As of January 1, 2018, the architectural firm had completed the plans and all required documentation had been provided to the Talsi city Building Board for the requisite approvals and stamps.
